Annie Chapman Brewer is an award winning musician, performer, and entrepreneur based in Michigan. While she is a specialist in horn, she thoroughly enjoys performing and teaching ukulele. Annie has taught ukulele classes in K-6 music programs, as well as senior citizen classes at Independence Village, and many others. She currently teaches private ukulele lessons to all level learners from her home studio in Midland.

In terms of genres and pieces, the sky is the limit when it comes to ukulele. There are many songs that can be learned using 2-3 chords, as well as pieces that have so many variable chords that it gives so much color to the sound! She has taught classic American pieces like Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”, to David Bowie, to the Beatles, and even Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift!

Let this be a sign: ukulele is as hard as you make it. You can do so much with one instrument, one strum at a time!
